Infant & Toddler Early Intervention
Tiny Tot Child Development Center is a provider of Early Intervention for children from birth to age three. Teachers and therapists give support to families at home and in community settings. During regular visits, these specialists help parents and other caregivers learn about child development in general with a focus on their child's unique strengths and needs. They help parents learn how to promote their child's learning during daily family activities and routines.
Services are individualized to meet the needs of each child and family. Developmental Specialists who are certified teachers with knowledge and skills in all areas of development work with families to achieve learning outcomes in language and communication, physical development, concept development, social-emotional development, and independence with self-care skills such as dressing and eating.
The Early Intervention program also employs or contracts with other specialists who help families when children have needs that require very specialized activities and equipment in order to achieve developmental progress. These specialists are professionals licensed in speech, physical, and occupational therapy, teachers of the hearing impaired, and a teacher certified in vision.
Early Intervention services for infants, toddlers and their families are coordinated and funded through the Beaver County MH/MR Office.
